Mindful Gray does have a hint of blue undertones in it. Mindful Gray has a LRV of 48 which means there is plenty of meat on its bones and is more saturated in color than Repose Gray.

Agreeable Gray was actually THE most popular color that was sold by Sherwin Williams in 2018.

Agreeable Gray reminds me of an art gallery wall. It is soothing and pleasant, perfect for any decor you choose to pair it with.
It has a Light Reflective Value of 60, which puts in in the light category of Sherwin Williams colors.
With subtle green undertones, Agreeable Gray goes well with both wood colored and white trim.

Sherwin Williams Repose Gray

Theres no doubt that Repose is cold as ice or warm as wheat. What do I mean by that? In a well lit, overexposed room, its going to look like a very light cool gray paint.
However, if you have low light, or light that casts shadows in the room, its going to have a pink beige, warm undertone.
So pay close attention to those fixed elements in the room like floors, fireplaces and wood trim so that you dont pair the wrong gray with those undertones.

The Best Sherwin Williams White Paint Colors In 2022
If youve never picked out paint colors before, it might surprise you to learn just how many white paint colors are out there. How is white even a color anyway? Let me break it down for you.
There are a couple different factors that go into making different kinds of white paint colors. Some white colors are lighter than others. This is measured by their light reflectance value, or LRV, on a scale from 0 to 100.
A LRV of 100 would be the absolute brightest white possible. Regular white paints start at a LRV of about 83 and go up. Off-whites start around 72 and go up to 83. As you can see, theres a lot of room for different shades here.
Another important factor in what makes a white paint color different from its peers is how warm or cool it is. Warm whites are going to tend towards the reds, oranges, and yellows. Cool whites are going to tend towards blues, greens, purples, and grays.
Why do these differences matter? What kind of white paint youve chosen can make a big difference in what coordinating colors work best with it, and what kind of overall feeling your home will have when youve finished painting it.
Farrow And Ball Hague Blue
Hague Blue by Farrow Ball is a deep, darker blue-green that is a popular choice as an accent color or whole room color. Similar to SW Sea Salt, the color changes slightly in different interior lighting situations. Its a rich and luxurious paint color that works well in a home office, dining room, or as a contrasting kitchen island cabinet color.
This popular Farrow & Ball color pairs beautifully with white trim or bright furniture pieces as a moody backdrop. It also works well with brass fixtures or a white tile bathroom as a classic shade of blue.

In 2021, homeowners whipped out their paint brushes to give the spaces they’d been spending so much time in a fresh new look. Some repainted kitchen cabinetry in bold shades, while others swathed the living room in a soothing hue. We especially loved the vibrant citrus colors that brought a splash of happiness into our houses.
According to Sherwin-Williams, “The palettes tell stories about sustainability, deep and spiritual maximalism, the connection between technology and mindfulness, and nostalgia for the 1960s to 1980s. These stories celebrate creativity and intention as we look to the future and seek to inspire exploration through color, including warm neutrals, bold metallics, organic greens, and nostalgic reds.”

How To Use The Sherwin
Calming the worlds existential anxiety is a tall order for a shade of paint, but Sherwin-Williams has embraced the moment to name Urbane Bronze SW 7048 as its 2021 Color of the Year.
The home is now the ultimate retreat from the world, and color is an easy and effective way to create a personal haven, Sue Wadden, director of color marketing at Sherwin-Williams, said in a press release. Urbane Bronze encourages you to create a sanctuary space for mindful reflection and renewal.
A warm nature-inspired brownish-gray shade, Urbane Bronze is a versatile and easy-to-live-with dark neutral that, like all paint colors, changes subtly with the light, and works well in a range of interiors and applications big and small.
Urbane Bronze is a comforting color, drawing from nature for a feeling of relaxation and serenity, explained Wadden. Theres also reassurance in its sentimentality, with nostalgic ties to the design of the ’70s and ’90s, but with gray undertones that give it a distinctly modern twist.

Ppg Top Interior Paint Color For 2021 Paint Color Palette
While Sherwin Williams and Benjamin Moore choose one main color for their color of the year designations, PPG Paints actually selects three paint colors that can be used as stand-alone shades, or can be paired together for a perfectly designed paint palette.
The first color, Transcend, is a warm neutral paint color that would most easily be classified as a beige. It is a medium depth shade that has a touch of red in it, making it the perfect blend of invigoration and warmth.
This paint color reminds you of sandy beaches or the color of a baby fawn. It is a very nature-inspired shade.
The second color of PPGs 2021 paint palette is Big Cypress. This warm reddish orange, with more than a hint of a pink undertone, is a great match for other warm touches, such as red woods and gold metals.
Big Cypress is a great paint color for your walls, and it will give the room a feeling of comfort, warmth and calm.
Misty Aqua rounds out PPGs 2021 paint color palette. It is a light, bright blue paint color that both contrasts with and coordinates with Transcend and Big Cypress.
Misty Aqua is a calming blue paint color that will make you feel stable and serene.
While these colors can be used as stand alone paint colors, they also work nicely together, creating a palette of calming hues that will promote a sense of relaxation, warmth and tranquility.
Popular Sherwin Williams Paint Colors 2020
Let’s time travel to 2020 and just like before we did our research and to our surprise many colors are still the same but there are a few new ones.
- Tricorn Black SW 6258
We try to ask for suggestions in different color categories for example what is your most popular white, gray, beige, black, blue. For this list, I placed like colors together starting with white and ending with black colors.
There are lots of other colors that are not on this list but I figured 12 was a good number to start with except for the colors of 2020. We could not exclude a couple so we added them.
Also, as a side note, you might have noticed that Pure White is missing from the photo above. Unfortunately, they were out of the paint sample at the Tallahassee location.
However, if you click on any of the colors in the bullet list above, it will take to the Sherwin Williams site where you can see the color.

Sherwin Williams Repose Gray Sw 7015
Whether youre preparing your home for sale or living in it, Repose Grayis a popular warm gray paint colour. Repose Gray is a light gray that has SUPER subtle brown undertones with a wee dab of violet but can be VERY unreliable with it. Theres not enough brown to qualify it as a greige, but enough to add softness and stop it from falling icy cold.
In the above photo, look at how Repose Gray changes from the left side of the fireplace to the right oh the glory of NORTHERN EXPOSURE!
With an LRV of 60, Repose Gray is a light colour, but a heavy light, as it doesnt have the fresh, bright feeling youd expect in a typical light paint colour. It will hold itself nicely in a well-lit room, brightening up, but can look a bit drab in a darker, shadowed space.
However, Repose Gray isnt the most PREDICTABLE gray and youll want to read its colour review to learn more. You can also see it in The 3 Ninjas of the Gray World.

2. SHERWIN WILLIAMS BIG CHILL SW 7648
Big Chill is one of my FAVE slightly cool grays. It has a wink of a stormy blue undertone, but its not an icy cold colour its calmer than that. Compared to the EVER popular Benjamin Moore Gray Owl, Big Chill has far less green-blue undertone, making it look more like a typical gray.

The Best Sherwin Williams Gray Paint Colors In 2022
Gray just might be the most versatile color on the wheel. Its a neutral that can take part in any palette and any style of decor. Gray is the overwhelming favorite for staging homes to sell, and it shows up in best-selling color lists again and again. Its the foundation of the popular and trendy greige familythats a blend of gray and beige.
Grays can come in warm, cool, and neutral variants, and can also be tinted with other colors, such as beige, blue, and green. Theres also a whole range of grays, from inky charcoal grays that read nearly black, to whispy smoke grays that are just this side of white.
How do you choose from all that variety? Never fear! In this article, Im going to highlight the best of the best. These grays are on-trend, able to be used anywhere, and perennial favorites among Sherwin Williams gray paint colors. Well also be taking a look at these grays in real houses to show you how to use them.
Just a note before we dive in: if youre not familiar with Light Reflectance Value , its a scale used to measure how light or dark a paint color is. The scale runs from absolute black at 0 to sheer white at 100. The higher the LRV number is, the lighter the color is. Many designers feel that colors from about 60-62 are ideal because they can handle a wide range of lighting situations.
